Neil Patrick Harris marries long-time partner David Burtka

How I met your mother actor Neil Patrick Harris has now married his long-time partner of 10 years, chef David Burtka, over a weekend in a secret ceremony on rented castle in Italy. The 41 year old actor and his partner confirmed the wedding via social media networking sites.

It is said that the pair were officially engaged in 2011, this is when the legalization of the same sex marriage in New York was passed. But Harris had already proposed to each other in 2006, which is 5 years prior to that. 

The couple decided that the wedding should be a private thing which is attended by their close friends and family which consists also of their children fraternal twins Gideon scott (Boy) and Harper Grace (Girl) which born via surrogate in 2010. For their attire, they wore matching tuxedos custom made by Tom Ford.

Pam Fryman, producer/ director of How I Met Your Mother, also  the couple's friend officiated the event. Also Elthon John was the one who performed at their reception.

Statement from The Actor's manager says: "We happily confirm that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were married in Italy in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family," 

Chef Burthka also stated "He's my lifeline, in an amazing way. Without him, I can't breathe" "The biggest thing is that he makes me laugh."
