When you are pregnant with your baby, it is said the nutrients your hair need is being transferred to the baby instead. So you will notice your hair won't grow so long and you will need to cut it. But still remember whether you want to your hair remain or you cut it short, there are different style you can enjoy with.

There are a lot of different cute-design in using hairbands when you go out on reunions, with your friends or have a day with your baby. For first-time mommies such as myself, I don't know what are the perfect items or things needed for child care. Advice from my friends and family says if I am on a tight budget I can  buy my child's stuff in Divisoria, but I'm not so sure if that's really safe for my baby. At first, I listened and bought things from Divisoria, but after a few weeks, I started to notice rashes on my baby's skin. We all know that a baby's skin is far more sensitive than adults. I knew right and there that it has something to do with the clothes I bought. So I research online about the baby's clothes and things, I came across the St. Patrick baby wear. 

The idea of St. Patrick Baby wear when a mother thought: "where can she find the perfect clothes for her perfect baby boy?" The mother wanted to produced baby clothings from 100% cotton but this things are hard to come by. So she decided to open a company it may be a bit pricey for some of us but it is every mother's wish to have the most comfortable baby clothes for our child. 

My Top 5 FlipTop Philippines Battle Emcees

I recently became a fan of the world of FlipTop. For those who doesn't what FlipTop or FlipTop Battles, it is the The First Philippines Rap Battle League. It is a underground rap battle contest usually joined by amateur/recreational rappers. It is established here in the Philippines in February 2010 by The president and Father of the FlipTop is Alaric Riam Yuson or better known as "Anygma".

Fliptop became a reputable in the Hip Hop society because of the power of Youtube. It is said to be represent as a Balagtasan, where two rappers are rutted against one another in a fight of a freestyle rap. In every fight there are three rounds and the winner will be determine by a board of judges. 

The battles are alienated into two divisions: Filipino Conference, which uses the Filipino language and English Conference, which employ the English language. It is said that The Filipino Conference is sub-divided into regional divisions (Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON and Mindanao).

Battle emcees have a lot of style of words and rhythmic flows. The most highly assessment by the judges are in the lyricism and delivery of lines in the battles. But the main goal of the battlers is bashing their opponents' notions with their own bars and expletives.

When they say "Make-up Transformation", what we always think of is the transformation the before and after putting a make-up. It is true what they say when you here the words: "Looks can be deceiving" but in these saying it is more on the personality side of the person. But with the magic of make-up, you can really say this words without hesitation.

MRT Train jammed through barriers

Bad news for commuters!

The MRT train was derailed just this afternoon at Taft Avenue EDSA Station. People said that the train went past to the wall barriers causing a post that fell on a car.

According to Rappler, Panic was aroused through the passengers. Passengers said that problems started   when the aircon of the train went off.  "May nag-start so nag-panic kami. Umandar [yung train] pero walang aircon,” some passengers said.

Witnesses said as the train were about to stop at the last station, the doors opened and the passengers panicked. Other witnesses said they can feel something is wrong when they saw the spark passing Magallanes in Makati.

Many are injured the worst of it the first coach which is reserved for women, children, senior citizen, PWD and pregnant women. It is said that one and half of the coaches went pass through the barrier and hit the post which fall over a car. 9 of the passengers were sent to the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay while other was brought to Pasay City General Hospital. There is still an on-going rescue for the remaining passengers of the train. 

MMDA advised commuters and motorists to "expect heavy traffic". It's also Wednesday, Novena day!

Commuters, choose an alternative route to go home and be careful.

Yes, it's true! The voice of our beloved funny genie, Robin Williams is now deceased. The 63-year old Oscar-winner comedian was found dead in his home. Police was called at 11:55 am to the Williams' home. Reports says that they suspected that it was a suicide due to asphyxia at 12:02 pm.

In every relationship in family or partner, jealousy is a common thing. This green-eyed monster is the desire to get rid of any competitors stand in your way. Sometimes, jealousy can target anyone like your friends and family especially with siblings. 

Sibling rivalry/ jealousy is very common. An only child always wants some attention from their parents. If a new member of the family comes along they will feel threaten. They think we won't give them enough love and attention they would want. As parents, we should teach them that being jealous is not good. Always show both of your children that you both love them equally, no favorites. Jealous kids tend to be the rebellious-type of teenagers when they grow up because no one has taught them the proper ways to handle jealousy.

The Miami Heat Superstar is finally getting hitch with his long-time girl friend, Gabrielle Union. TMZ scored the footage of the lover's "Save The Date" video which they send out to their guests. 

A simple yet cute proposal orchestrated together with his three sons. Dwyane wade proposed to his girlfriend with the words "Will you marry us?" Union was in tears when she accepted. We got a sneak peek of the video, you can watch it here. 


The NBA star and his fiancee will be getting married on August 30,2014, a labor-day weekend. They don't have any details regarding the place yet but It said to be in Miami. Guests were asked not to use their cameras and phones during the wedding and reception.

For some people who don't know, the Venn Diagram is a diagram that can show you possible outcome of two sets of collection. Google chose the different types of collection for you to combine or logical emerge together.

Top five remedies for Fever

For first-time mommies, do you know what are the remedies for fever without giving your child too much medicine? The first symptom of a disease is usually FEVER. Working adults usually just take a Biogesic or Bioflu if they feel they going to have a fever.

but how about children? Their bodies are much more delicate than an adults and some of them are more prone to illness. There are many remedies for fever but I'll only give you my 5 most effective remedies for fever.

Five Remedies For Fever:

1. Stay Hydrated always.

   Whether it is juice, milk or water, always remember be hydrated always. When your baby is sick always let him drink water, this will help him flush down the bacteria inside his body. Fruit juices can also help cleanse the body, some fruits contain antioxidants to hinder bacteria for doing any more damage to the body. For example, Orange juice have vitamin C that help boost you and your child's immune system and Milk have calcium that make the bones strong and less prone to diseases such as bone cancer and osteoporosis. 

2. Cool Down.

    Taking a bath whether sponge or cold bath helps give you relief. When you have a fever, you feel all sticky all over the body. Bathing helps you cool down your temperature evaporating the excess hot inside your body. If you don't want a cold shower then take a sponge bath. Using a moist towel, soak the towel and wipes them all over your body. Another method is leaving a cloth soak with water in your forehead to relieve yourself of the discomfort because of the fever. You can also cool down but wearing less clothing because wearing more can trap body heat more thus making your fever longer.

*when you don't want a cloth on your forehead or want a faster way to cool down, you can also use Kool Fever,a stick-on pad for your forehead with cooling action that works as fast as overnight.

3. Eat.

   You won't get well soon enough without eating. Eating cold food like Popsicle or yogurt are sometimes called fever-reducers help you lessen your body's temperature. But some parents give their kids warm food like porridge or Lugaw in Tagalog, which is usually eaten with an egg and it's easier for kids to eat and digest. 

4. Drink Medicine.

    Medicine is just a help to reduce your fever. Because some children tend to be allergic to medicine, you may want to consult a pediatrician first. 

5. Last thing you need is Sleep or Rest.

   Everybody needs a break once in a while. Everything has it's limits, don't push yourself too hard to the point of fainting during an activity or while working. Resting and Sleeping can store energy and helps to fight against any sickness. Sleeping for kids helps them grow more and more.

Wai Ying Fastfood at Manila Chinatown

I give to you some of the best restaurant here in manila. My husband and his friend were telling how they ate in this restaurant.  It is called the WAI YING FAST FOOD RESTAURANT at Manila Chinatown . They weren't actually a chinese food lover but they decided to try it out :)

You wouldn't doubt that it is a chinese fastfood resto, they will surely serve you an awesome meal in a minute or in an instant after you place your order. Definitely a great place for the eager eater like them who hates to wait :)

Indomie Noodles :)

My cousin send some Indomie Noodles as a Balikbayan gift for my uncle from dubai. He gave us some of the extras so I decided to do a review on it. 

Packaging

Your first impression will it's very colorful. Not fond of the writings though maybe because I can't understand it (haha!). Anyways, the packaging is easy on the eyes; the colors are not too bright and yet you can't tell whether it's spicy or just plain. They should made it with the preference of one's taste buds (spicy, sweet, sour). I got to know it was spicy when I saw the condiments.

Noodles

It is just like any other instant noodle products. The only difference is the coloring of the noodles. Instant Noodles from Korea are it's almost orange-like and others have this kim-chi kind of smell. But Indomie noodles are pale almost white color. 

How to make Crispy Tuna

I'm not much into cooking but I like experimenting with my different fried dishes.

But always remember: "Too much of something is bad for you." Especially when too much fried foods may cause Alzheimer disease.

I experimented on one dish. I called it "Crispy Tuna"

Crispy Tuna Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 Century Tuna (spicy or original)
1 Crispy Fry breading mix
Cooking Oil
1 egg (optional)

Procedure:

1. Open the century tuna can and drain the sauce. You can also have the sauce mixed with the rice and cook it.
2. Mix the Crispy Fry breading mix with the century tuna. (make sure you wash your hands first)
Don't mix all the crispy fry into the century or it may be too salty for your taste. Just make mix to your taste preference.
3. After mixing, wash your hands and open the stove set the fire to high.
4. Pour the cooking oil, set the heat on the medium and put it the mixed crispy tuna wait until golden brown. Close the stove and serve it on a plate.

**While cooking the crispy tuna, you can pour in the scrambled egg. (this is optional)

There you have it. The servings is good for two only. Enjoy!

Our "Dirty" Ice Cream Experience

On our way home from the TEAM building, we spot the dirty ice cream cart. It's been years since we had dirty ice cream desserts. My husband and I were craving for it for quite some time now, but first, let's define what it a dirty ice cream.

Why is it called a "Dirty" Ice Cream?

It's not necessarily "dirty" like mud or anything like that. We call it "Dirty" because of unsanitary conditions of the seller and some of the sellers / cart pushers don't wears gloves. But others call it "Dirty" because of it's price for as low as 5 pesos single scoop not unlike the big companies.

It is only available here in the Philippines, It is called "Sorbetes" from the word Sorbet. But it is made from coconut milk and can be served in sugar cones, bread buns, and wafer cones.

Prices for these ice cream are very cheap. The sugar cone is usually 5 pesos but some vendors charged 7 pesos to gain more profit. The wafer cone is only 10 pesos some are 11 pesos and lastly the bread buns costs 15 - 20 pesos or sometimes if you want to add extra scoops they charged you more.

We picked out the wafer cones which is the 10 pesos each. There are only two flavors cheese and mango. I didn't recognize it was mango because of the color. (usually the color for the mango flavor is Orange-yellow.)

Next time if we ever encounter another dirty ice cream seller, I hope this time it will have lot's of flavors.
